Are you a rail Site Agent with experience delivering complex temporary works on bridge refurbishment projects?
Do you have experience managing utility diversions, drainage or trunk sewer works within a highly regulated rail or water environment?
Salary: £50,000 - £67,000 per annum DOE + car allowance
Location: West Ham
Hours: 45 hours per week
My client is looking to add an experienced Site Agent to their team to work on the repair and remediation of two bridge structures and five trunk sewer barrels across both rail and road spans. The project is currently in design phase, offering the opportunity to be involved from conception through to delivery on a complex and technically challenging package.
The role will include managing multiple complex temporary works schemes, bridge refurbishments, drainage works and utility diversions. Experience in these areas is essential.
You will take overall responsibility for managing the construction site to achieve safe, high-quality project delivery in line with programme, commercial and client objectives. You will work closely with the Senior Project Manager, engineers, planners and quantity surveyors to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to maximum commercial performance.
Key responsibilities include:
·Overall responsibility for successful delivery of bridge and trunk sewer remediation works
·Leading teams of Sub Agents, Engineers and Foremen
·Managing and implementing Project Plans, RAMS, ITPs and Waste Management Plans
·Overseeing development, procurement and delivery of complex temporary works schemes
·Managing pre-construction reviews, stakeholder consents and permits
·Producing and managing construction programmes including 2-week lookaheads
·Maintaining strong working relationships with Thames Water and key stakeholders
·Managing cost control, forecasting and value engineering opportunities
·Ensuring variations are notified and suitably quantified
·Producing accurate monthly reports and chairing weekly site meetings
·Driving compliance across HSQE standards

Requirements:
·Considerable experience as a Site Agent within Civil Engineering, delivering heavy civils projects within rail and/or water sectors
·Experience managing bridge refurbishments, temporary works, drainage or utility diversions
·Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM regulations, programme and risk management
·Experience in cost control including forecasting and value reporting
·Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or similar preferred
·CSCS essential
·SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely essential
·Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC/TWS) essential
·Confined Spaces training essential
·PTS preferred
