Job description

What we need:
Our client are a successful traffic management company based in the North East of the UK are seeking an experienced and aviable SHEQ manager to oversee the companies Health & Safety, quality and compliance standards.

What you will do:
Developing the future of the companies Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems.
Lead the management of the companies, Safety, Environmental and Quality Strategies
Ensure full compliance to Health and Safety Legislation and maintain a working knowledge of legislation.
Making and implementing recommendations for improvement & implement change.
Develop SMART KPI & Objectives for the company and provide monthly reports to the Directors and companies clients.
Chair and manage monthly meetings with Staff and generate monthly Management Reports.
Facilitation of HSE Risk Management & Mitigation across the business aligned with the requirements of The Health & Safety Executive.
Develop and implement Environmental Policies.
Develop targets to reduce Paragon the companies Carbon Footprint, monitor and report on a regular basis.

What you will need to succeed:
Experienced in working within Highways/ Construction
Relevant H&S qualification NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction (Desirable) IOSH Managing Safely, IOSH Environmental Management.
Experience in carrying out Internal Audits to gain accreditations. (Safe Contractor, Construction line etc)
Experience of managing external partners & 3rd Party Contractors and Auditors
Knowledge of Health & Safety/ Environmental & Quality Standards working within the ISO 45001/ 18001 & 9001.
Experience in successfully managing and implementing H&S project works
Additional required experience needed:
- Health and safety: 5 years (required)
- Environmental management: 5 years (required)
- Auditing: 5 years (required)
- Driving Licence (required)
