We're working with one of the UK's leading ground engineering contractors to recruit Setting Out Engineers to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced professionals looking to take the next step in their career with a company that delivers major geotechnical and reinforced concrete projects across multiple sectors.
 
 
The role
As a Setting Out Engineer, you'll take ownership of delivering accuracy and quality on site, with responsibilities including:
·Setting out piles, beams and reinforced concrete works, plus recording as-builts.
·Carrying out levelling, surveying and checking drawings to ensure accuracy.
·Acting as the link between engineers and construction teams, resolving discrepancies.
·Conducting quality checks, verifying calculations and providing technical support.
·Overseeing subcontractors and co-ordinating site layouts.
·Managing your own workload across multiple live sites.
This role suits a proactive Setting Out Engineer who enjoys problem-solving, thrives under pressure, and delivers work to the highest standards.
 
 
What We're Looking For
·Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer, Site Engineer or Engineering Surveyor.
·Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural setting out.
·Practical understanding of construction, surveying procedures and interpreting drawings.
·High attention to detail with strong numeracy and calculation skills.
·Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively.
·Confident communicator, able to work well within a team.
·Proficient in AutoCAD.
·Valid CSCS card (essential); full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel (desirable).
