Job description
Senior Workshop Technician - Clevedon
Location: Clevedon
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent
I'm currently working with a long-standing client of mine who operates in the drainage and wastewater space, and they're looking for a Senior Workshop Technician to join their friendly team in Clevedon.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting hands-on with kit, knows their way around wires and basic electrical repairs, and maybe even fancies stepping up into a bit of a leadership role. You'll be working in a well-equipped workshop and helping keep critical monitoring equipment up and running - no two days are the same.
What you'll be doing day-to-day:
·Servicing, repairing and calibrating monitoring equipment
·Carrying out basic electrical checks and soldering when needed
·Keeping an eye on stock and making sure inventory's in order
·Checking batteries and replacing components where required
·Supporting and supervising a small, close-knit team of techs
·Making sure everything leaving the workshop is in top condition
Who this might suit:
This could be ideal for someone who's already working in a workshop or technical setting, or maybe you've been out in the field as a service engineer and fancy a change of pace. If you've got experience with electrical/electronic repairs, even from something like facilities maintenance or white goods, and you like the sound of leading a small team, this could be a perfect fit.
You'll be based at the Clevedon workshop, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, and there's a genuine opportunity here to grow into a Workshop Manager role over time.
What's on offer:
·A starting salary between £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience
·A permanent position with a stable, well-established company (15+ offices across the UK)
·A supportive team environment where your input matters
·Real progression opportunities down the line
The team is collaborative, friendly, and professional - it's a supportive environment with room to grow. If you're someone who enjoys keeping things organised and running like clockwork, you'll fit right in.
