Senior Traffic Engineer.
 
Are you a Senior Traffic Engineer looking for a contract opportunity?
 
This is an initial 6-month contract to carry out a task-and-finish project for the preparation and promotion of a range of Traffic Regulation Orders.
 
·An experienced Traffic Engineer is required to support the clients Transforming Cities Fund proposals through the development, promotion and implementation of a range of traffic regulation orders.
·The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the preparation of orders including waiting/loading restrictions, banned turns and point closures, segregated cycle lane and shared use footways as well as stopping up orders under Section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
·Able to produce clear design details which can be shared with the wider design team the candidate will be responsible for the production of letters, drawings and other media necessary to consult on restriction proposals.
·Experience of stakeholder management will be essential as will be experience of working collaboratively with elected members to ensure successful implementation.
·The ability to upload details of new, revoked or amended orders on the Council's ParkMap system will be essential.
