Senior Quantity Surveyor - Water Infrastructure Projects

Thames Valley | £60,000-£70,000 | 6-month temp-to-perm contract

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in civil infrastructure?

Looking for a new opportunity with a leading contractor in the water sector?


We're working with a Tier 1 contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects across the Thames Valley region. They're seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team on a 6-month contract basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right person.

Role Overview:
As Quantity Surveyor, you'll support the commercial and financial management of clean water infrastructure projects within a long-term framework. You'll work closely with the delivery team to ensure commercial targets are met, risks are managed, and project controls are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day administration of commercial and financial aspects of projects
  • Preparation of cost and value reports
  • Producing commercial performance dashboards
  • Managing procurement of subcontractors, plant, labour and materials
  • VOWD (Value of Work Done) forecasting and cost control
  • Subcontractor liaison and contract management


 Requirements:

  • Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar - or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in civil infrastructure (water/utilities experience desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts
  • Proactive approach to risk management and opportunity identification
