Rate: £350 per day
Contract Type:6-month contract, Outside IR35

What we need:
We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to oversee Highways projects in the Southeast. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, contract management, and procurement for a variety of Highways projects. The projects will be undertaken under NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, therefore a good understanding of these contracts is essential.

What you will do:

  • Provide advice and guidance to project teams on contract matters, procurement, and cost management.
  • Manage all commercial aspects of the project, including cost control, valuation, and payment of subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, including managing any disputes that arise.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including procurement and negotiation of terms.
  • Prepare and present cost reports to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the project is delivered within budget and on time.
  • Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.

What you will need:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role.
  • Experience in Highways projects is essential.
  • Knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts is essential.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach.
