Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take the lead on complex infrastructure projects? This Senior Quantity Surveyor opportunity offers the chance to work on prestigious programmes while playing a key role in commercial leadership and project delivery.
My client is seeking a driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a collaborative project environment in Bristol. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will act as a key commercial lead on major projects, managing client relationships while ensuring strong commercial control and successful project outcomes.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial leadership of projects and support the successful delivery of infrastructure programmes.
You will be responsible for:
·Acting as the focal commercial point on projects and commissions while managing client relationships
·Collaborating with leadership teams, project managers, contractors and internal stakeholders to maintain strong partnerships
·Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure delivery within budget
·Reviewing and validating contractor and supplier costs and payment applications
·Producing regular financial reports and presenting performance and risk updates to stakeholders
·Leading or supporting procurement activities including contractor evaluation and appointment
·Administering contracts and ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions
·Managing contract change processes including reviewing quotations and ensuring timely agreement
·Maintaining accurate and comprehensive commercial records for projects
·Identifying, analysing and mitigating commercial risks across project lifecycles
·Supporting value engineering initiatives to optimise project performance
·Mentoring and supporting colleagues to help develop their skills and career progression
 
Skills and Experience You Will Need
To succeed as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will ideally have:
·BSc in Quantity Surveying or a similar relevant qualification
·Strong experience in both pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying duties
·Experience working with NEC4, FIDIC or ICHEME contracts
·Understanding of methods of measurement such as CESMM4 or MMHW
·Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects such as Highways, Water or Rail (desirable but not essential)
·Membership or working towards membership with the Chartered Institute of Surveyors (RICS) or another recognised professional body
