Senior Quantity Surveyor Civil Engineering

We're working with a leading civils contractor with a strong track record of delivery across the UK. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Eastern Region team. Based out of their office near Cambridge, you'll play a key role in delivering a portfolio of Environment Agency works - including flood defence, river works, and infrastructure upgrades.

What You'll Be Doing:
·Overseeing cost control and commercial reporting across multiple live projects
·Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff as part of team development
·Preparing estimates and managing procurement of subcontractors
·Assessing and certifying interim and final payments to subcontractors
·Identifying risk and implementing effective control measures
·Managing contract variations and working closely with the client to resolve changes
·Supporting dispute resolution documentation where required
·Ensuring work aligns with company procedures and all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental standards
 
 
What We're Looking For:
·Strong experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
·Track record delivering civil engineering projects - ideally including highways, structures, flood protection, and/or river works
·Proficiency with NEC contracts - this is essential
·Excellent numeracy, IT and commercial reporting skills
·Confident communicator with a proactive and flexible approach
·Ability to think innovatively and solve problems in a fast-paced setting
