Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire
Salary:
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in managing a team of quantity surveyors in the highways sector?
We are looking for a dedicated, team player and business commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing organisation that has sustainability and innovation at its heart. Working with the Heads of Service and project teams the role is integral to the delivery of all commercial activity from the development to the delivery phase.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor's responsibilities include:
·Commercial management and reporting of the project including optimising profit, cash and opportunity/risk.
·Work collaboratively members of the Project Team to optimise commercial outcomes for the business
·Price tenders, quotations, estimates and target prices for highway and civil engineering works using manual calculation and electronic system including spreadsheets, databases and estimating systems.
·Responsible for proactive monitoring of commercial project progress, costs, and variations, providing timely CVR and other reports to the Commercial
·Maintaining excellent commercial relationships with internal / external stakeholders
To succeed in this Senior Quantity Surveyor role, you will need to have strong influencing and communication skills to work with stakeholders internally and externally. You will also have;
·Degree in Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying or other relevant qualification combined with strong highways experience.
·Significant experience in quantity surveying, budget management, good contractual awareness and adept at identifying risk.
·Proven experience in optimising commercial outcomes in accordance with contractual obligations and commercial strategy/processes.
·Proven track record of improving profitability, sales and risk position through proactive management of clients and contractors.
·Proven track record of undertaking NEC contract commercial management on highways.
