rail contractor. They have recently won a multitude of work in the Northern region, and would be looking to bring on an Senior Quantity Surveyor  to join their already established team.
 
Location: Doncaster
 
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (Experience Dependant)
 
Package:
- Car or car allowance (6.5K pa)
- 39 hours
- 3 month notice period
- BUPA Healthcare
- Pension contribution 3% employees and 5% employers
- Holiday entitlement = 25 days + Bank holidays
 
Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a rail contracting environment.
- A degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
- Working towards Chartered Surveyor or equivalent membership
- Previous experience of COINs
- Knowledge working in Microsoft office applications
 
Responsibilities:
- Production of monthly accounting, costing, contract, management and financial information on a timely basis for inclusion in the monthly accounts package
- Briefing the Project Manager on the bill of quantities, specification and contractual  implications of ongoing and new projects
- Liaising with the Project Managers, regarding ongoing cots, current position and variations in contracts.
- Monitoring costs against tender/contract specifications and agreements.
- Advising the Commercial Manager immediately of any major problem areas
