Our client is a leading specialist contractor delivering repair, strengthening and waterproofing solutions to concrete and steel structures across the UK. Their portfolio includes bridge deck waterproofing, expansion joints, concrete repair, cathodic protection, steel strengthening, carbon fibre applications, jacking and bearing replacement, lightweight access systems, and long-span bridge refurbishment.
Operating as part of a wider multidisciplinary engineering group, the business supports major infrastructure schemes across sectors including highways, rail, marine, energy and environmental works.
The Opportunity
We are recruiting an experienced Senior Planner to take full responsibility for planning and programme management across a portfolio of civil engineering projects.
This is a key role within the Planning and Project Controls function, supporting Project Managers in the successful delivery of complex infrastructure works while also providing planning expertise at tender and pre-construction stages.
Key responsibilities include:
·Developing, managing and maintaining detailed project programmes
·Supporting project delivery teams with planning and sequencing strategies
·Providing planning input into tenders and pre-construction submissions
·Monitoring progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures
·Ensuring programme compliance in line with contractual requirements (including NEC4)
·Producing regular reporting and programme updates for internal and external stakeholders
About You
You will bring strong technical planning capability and experience within civil engineering environments.
·Experience operating in a senior planning role (desirable)
·Proven project planning experience on civils schemes
·Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6
·Experience supporting tenders and pre-construction activities
·Experience working under NEC4 contracts
·Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
·Full UK driving licence (desirable)
