A fantastic client in the nuclear space is looking for a senior project engineer to join them on their fantastic engineering projects for one of the legacy reactors. This role offers a great opportunity for a senior project engineer with a background in decommissioning to thrive on a long term contract.

• Job Title - Senior Project Engineer
• Location - Romney Marsh
• Contract Length - 18 Months
• Pay Rates - £525 a day (Inside IR35)

Key Deliverables:

• Identifying project functional requirements and stakeholder needs for assigned project.
• Contribute to production of Project Execution Plans including design, safety case and commissioning strategies.
• Producing and/or approve project technical specifications.
• Managing detailed design activities in accordance with design authority standards.
• Carrying out technical assessment/approval of contractors work instruction/method
• statements/risk assessments.
• Approving as built drawings.
• To specify and provide technical supervision of commissioning and/or decommissioning.
• Managing hand over to systems/operations ensuring that all drawings, instructions and training have been supplied as required.

Experiences Required:

• A HNC or equivalent within the Mechanical/Electrical/CE&I disciplines.
• Working knowledge of CDM.
• Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
• A strong knowledge of engineering Standards and procedures used in regulated industries.
• A solid Technical background.
•  Ideally, previous experience of dealing with Radioactive Waste.
