My client in London is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Policy Officer to join them for an initial 6-contract.
 
The council office is located fairly close to London with good transport links.
·        Full Time Role
·        Mainly working remotely but will need to attend once per week
·        Hourly rate - approx. £35-40 per hour
 
Role:
·Support the effective development and regeneration of the Council
·Management of discrete research and policy development / drafting and projects, including management of consultants
·Planning policy and research tasks that enable the successful preparation, examination and implementation / delivery of the Local Plan and associated Area Action Plans and Supplementary Planning Documents
·The provision of specialist planning policy advice
·Cross-Council working to deliver corporate objectives, including infrastructure funding and delivery
·Ensure timely and meaningful engagement of other Council Divisions, elected members, statutory and non-statutory bodies, developers and public stakeholders in the above processes
