Senior Planning Officer
Somerset
£40-£45 p/h umbrella rate
 
I am working closely with my LPA client based in Somerset and assisting in their recruitment for a temporary Senior Planning Officer.
 
An increase in workload has opened up an opportunity for an experienced and efficient Senior Planning Officer to join this busy LPA on a 6-month initial contract.
 
The workload will be the typical rural mix - windfall housing market town & village, circa 1 - 20 dwellings, listed buildings some commercial space. The successful candidate will need to get up to speed with phosphate / nutrient neutrality as is in line with many LPAs recently.
 
Site visit and important meeting attendance is required but this will not be any more than once per fortnight, potentially once per week in a busier block of time.

It would be beneficial to have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in town planning and be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
