An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Parking Engineer to join our client's expanding offices in Manchester.  Due to ongoing success in the Highways and Transportation sectors and some major client wins 2020 has been a great year with 2021 set to be a year of significant growth!
 
As the successful Senior Engineer you will be working on a range of schemes within the industry, in a team of Engineering professionals enabling you to advance your career and develop your skill set.

The role
 
·To support the delivery of a range of parking and/or transportation engineering projects on behalf of both public and private sector clients;
·Support the development of new business opportunities through bids and tender preparation
·Assist junior staff to ensure that their project work is technically correct
·Assist Senior Staff to ensure that deadlines are met and within budget
·Respond to client and customer enquiries, ensuring that their needs are met
·Manage projects in accordance with Client requirements to exceed their expectations
·Knowledge and experience managing personal and project tasks and workload, maintaining high levels of utilisation
·Provide technical input and advice on projects and deliver high-quality outputs
·Ensure all project files are up to date and comply with the QA system
·Support the organisations Quality Assurance systems and procedures in all projects and service areas
·Manage health and safety of self and others in course of duties, including visits to site
 
About you
 
·Relevant Degree or equivalent qualification
·Knowledge and experience of parking or transportation engineering principles within the industry
·Professional qualification with a relevant (e.g. MILT, MICE or MCIHT) institution or working towards Chartered or Incorporated Status
·Consideration given to significant relevant experience in lieu of specified education and professional qualification
·Comprehensive understanding of transportation techniques and legislation including an understanding of parking engineering, traffic engineering and traffic regulation/ management orders and a proven track record in project design and delivery
·Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technical industry standards
·Self-motivated with good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
·Possess strong analytical ability and a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and current design standards
·Experience and ability to work on multi-task projects
·Computer literate and CAD experience essential
·Able to communicate/ liaise effectively and professionally with the design team, clients and contractors
·Experience of ParkMap desirable
