Senior Consultant / Principal Consultant level
Location:Birmingham / London / Nottingham
Salary:Competitive, commensurate with role and experience
My client is an award winning and creative transport planning consultancy that employs the very best transport planners and provides an environment in which people can flourish and develop fulfilling careers.
They are currently looking to recruit highly motivated and ambitious transport planners at Senior or Principal Consultant level to support teams in Birmingham, London and Nottingham. The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, people-orientated individuals, with strong report-writing, research and analytical skills, and a desire to quickly move into a position of responsibility. Importantly you should share their belief that transport planners have a responsibility to help create more sustainable places.
Although based in one of their UK offices and with some flexibility with regards remote working, projects may involve working across the UK and overseas. You will be given the opportunity to accelerate your career by working alongside industry experts, within an inclusive and caring company environment. You will be expected to:
·Manage projects for local authorities and private sector clients under the guidance of the Project Director
·Start taking a leading role within a defined technical area
·Manage time effectively, working with colleagues to deliver to scope and budget
·Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, helping to secure new work
·Proactively contribute to company growth through business development activities
·Inspire and develop less-experienced members of staff by freely sharing your knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
·Exceptional transport planning technical skills and experience in areas of relevance
·A sound understanding of transport policy and current issues in the UK and/or internationally
·Knowledge and skills to extract and analyse complex data sets to derive valuable insights
·A growing network of industry contacts and positive client referrals
·Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
·Excellent report-writing skills
