Job Role - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Contract - Negotiable

Location - Thurso

Pay Rate - Negotiable (inside IR35)

If you are a senior mechanical design engineer with vast experience in highly regulated industries and have spent time decommissioning I am looking to talk with you about an exciting opportunity.

Required Skills and Experiences:

• Develop, control and monitor plans and matching procedures
• Design, deliver and evaluate the technical governance of projects
• Identify the relevant resources that will allow you to carry out the project activities
• Have the ability to write Technical Specifications
• Perform the usual responsibilities of Management relevant to the post
• Have the ability to liaise effectively with the regulators and stakeholders on projects
• Develop the requirement specifications, the technical specification and the other design related documentation for major projects.
• Have the ability to develop and review discipline specific engineering drawings

Required Qualifications/Experiences/Aptitudes:

• Degree/HND in relevant field or relevant experiences/further qualifications to supersede the degree
• Have at minimum 5 years in mechanical design at the senior level
• Have minimum 10 years in highly regulated industries and preferably 5 years in decommissioning
• Clearance levels up to SC (desired not essential)
