Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer with relevant experience to join the Highway Engineering team in Birmingham.
 
The successful candidates will join a growing and vibrant Highways and Development Infrastructure team providing strong technical guidance whilst contributing to work-winning with both existing and new clients.
 
The postholders will be responsible for delivering a broad range of services to public and primarily private sector clients and partners, including:
-Preparation of preliminary through to detailed design for road, junction, and active travel infrastructure.
-Obtaining statutory approvals;
-Contract preparation and procurement;
-Provide design support to construction phases
 
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES:
-Hold a relevant degree and demonstrate relevant experience progressing towards Chartered Status
-Strong technical knowledge, including use of industry standard road/drainage design software and sound knowledge of current design standards specifically DMRB.
-A positive and enthusiastic approach
-Ability to form constructive, lasting relationships with clients and professional partners
-Ability to develop and sell innovative solutions for clients
-Ability to work well alongside and as part of an experienced team of professionals
-High standards of written and oral communication
-Good understanding of drainage and road design principals
-A proactive approach to seeking and sharing knowledge
-A commitment to career development
