Job Opportunity: Geoenvironmental Consultant (3-6 Month Contract)

Location: Primarily home-based with ocassional site visits (Main project: Northfleet, Kent)
Start Date: Ideally within the next few weeks
Contract Type: 3-6 months - 37.5 Hrs per week Inside or Outside IR35
Rate: £40-£50hr (based on experience)
 
We are currently seeking an experienced Geoenvironmental Consultant to join our team on a contract basis for a 3-6 month period. This role will support a range of projects, with a strong focus on desk-based assessments related to contaminated land, alongside some site investigation work.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Carry out Phase 1 Desk Studies and interpret environmental data.
·Assist with and occasionally lead Phase 2 Site Investigations.
·Prepare technical reports and risk assessments.
·Liaise with stakeholders including project managers and local authorities.
·Travel to site(s) as required - main site in Northfleet; occasional other UK locations possible.


About You:
·Proven experience in contaminated land assessments.
·Strong desk study background - this will form the majority of your work.
·Comfortable conducting and reporting on site investigations.
·Based within reasonable travel distance of London/South East England.
·Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own transport.
·Able to work independently from home and manage your own schedule.


Additional Information:
·While the main focus will be desk-based work, site attendance (usually for 1 day) may occasionally be required elsewhere in the UK.
·We want to be upfront that site needs outside Northfleet are not common, but possible.
·We're open to candidates working inside or outside IR35.
