I am currently recruiting for a Senior Flood Risk Engineer on a contract basis in Berkshire. This is a role which is focused on producing flood risk assessments and flood risk reports on development infrastructure schemes.
This role is required to be in the office 1-2 days initially for the first couple of weeks and then fulltime remote working thereafter.
 
This position falls outside IR35.
 
Key requirements;
 
- Working towards chartership
- Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of current technical standards and guidance
- Extensive experience undertaking flood risk assessments and flood risk reports for development infrastructure schemes
- Knowledge of surface water, foul water and SUDS designs and demonstrate a thorough understanding of current assessment techniques
- Produce technical reports efficiently and accurately.
- Proven knowledge of design and specification of sustainable drainage systems to current design standards
- Be able to demonstrate a proficiency with the design and specification of both adoptable and private sewerage pumping stations
- Knowledge of section 104 and 106 agreements
- Have experience of the preparation of evidence for planning appeals and public enquiries
- Have a general understanding and knowledge of wider environmental issues and trends.
 
Desirable
 
- Microdrainage design experience
