Job description

We are currently looking for a Senior Field Planning Manager to join a successful fibre team onsite in Penrith.
 
As the Senior Field Planning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of field operations, including managing a team of Field Planning Managers and Supervisors.
 
This position is open to interviewing candidates seeking a step up to a senior role, provided they have relevant experience in the field. This is a full-time onsite position, and we are not currently offering a hybrid option.
 
As a Senior Field Planning Manager, you will be working closely with our Wayleaves officers, desk-based planners, and field surveyors. You will also be reporting to the Design Director.
 
The salary for this position is between £45,000 and £55,000 depending on experience.
 
You will be responsible for:
·Scheduling organising and prioritising work for your team
·Managing the supervisors, field planners and surveyors.
·Work closely with desktop planners, ensuring smooth transition of information and maintaining open communication at all times
·Progress reporting on planning work activities
·Leading, mentoring and motivating the team, as well as identifying training gaps and ensuring training is provided
·Good understanding of build disciplines - including all accompanying documentation for utility stats, street gazetteer, detailed network plans with work point instructions, CDM, BoM, etc
·Liaise with stakeholders from local Authorities amongst others
·Highlight and escalate major design variances to the planning base
·Flexible approach in dealing with amendments to planned information
·Ensure accurate completion of all planned submissions and work is completed on time
·Become proficient to highlight and escalate major design variances
·Liaising with members of the public and obtaining wayleaves
·Report on survey results and present findings to clients
·Streamline processes and ensure team is trained on new information/processes

You will have:
·An ability to build strong relationships with your team and other teams around the business
·GIS/Autocad knowledge
·Full valid driving licence
