• Job Title - Senior Engineering Manager
• Location - Reading (4 Days a week)
• Contract Length - 1 Year (possible 1 year extension)
• Pay Rate - Up To £730 a day OUTSIDE IR35

This role will be perfect for an experienced senior engineering manager who is looking to develop there career in the nuclear/defence sector and has knowledge of multi-discipline work packages.

Responsibilities:

• Liaison and reporting to the project Principal Engineering Manager.
• Liaison with Supply Chain Engineering Management to enable supplier Engineering delivery.
• Point of contact for Project Package Engineering challenges for the Supply Chain and other internal project departments
• Liaison with Technical Authorities for Design Reviews and deliverable checking.
• Certificate of Design updates and review of engineering management process documentation to enable this.
• Managing, strategizing, and planning the review process of Supplier deliverables.
• Management of Engineering Change Requests, Design Change Notes, Technical Queries, concession, reservation closure in addition to managing commissioning reservation engineering responses.
• Technical Query SQEP check (if suitably SQEP) and determination if a Design Change Note is required.
• Supplier visits during critical activities and meetings.

Key experiences/knowledges:

• Experience of working in a highly regulated environment (preferably nuclear).
• Proven experience of delivering projects with a consideration for quality, time, and cost.
• Preferably Senior Mechanical Engineer discipline focus.
•  Knowledge of Engineering
• Technical Data Evaluation
• Knowledge and ability to interpret legislation to current standards.
