Senior Highway Engineer
 
Are you an experienced Highway Engineer? I am currently recruiting for a Senior Highway Engineer to join a client in Leeds.
 
The Senior Highway Engineer will need
 
· Recent experience of all aspects of the delivery of complex urban highway and junction improvements in a local Highway Authority environment.
· Working in a multi-disciplinary team
· Application of DMRB and MCHW requirements
· Feasibility and preliminary design
· Input to project business cases
· Familiarity with land acquisition process
· Project governance
· Detailed design of all aspects of improvement schemes including 3D design and the use of design software
· Estimates and BOQ preparation
· Liaison with statutory undertakers
· Contract preparation including specification drafting
· Procurement processes
· Supervision of junior staff
 
The client is extremely busy and all though the contract is initially 6 months there is every chance this could be a very long-time assignment.
