Senior Civil Engineer
Are you an experienced Civil Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? This Senior Civil Engineer role offers the chance to deliver real impact, work across exciting multidisciplinary projects and grow your technical leadership in civil engineering.
As the Senior Civil Engineer you will be solving real engineering challenges across highways, drainage, ground remediation and flood alleviation schemes. You will act as a pivotal point between design teams, clients and delivery partners, increasing your professional responsibility and visibility.
In this Senior Civil Engineer position you will be:
·Leading the design and coordination of civil engineering aspects on large-scale infrastructure development projects.
·Managing highways and drainage designs and section agreements such as S278, S38 and S104.
·Producing technical deliverables including Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies and Nutrient Mitigation advice.
·Liaising regularly with multidisciplinary teams including architects, project managers and engineers to ensure seamless delivery.
·Representing project designs in client meetings and contributing to key technical decisions.
·Visiting sites to assess progress, resolve complex issues and provide technical guidance.
·Assisting with business-winning activities including client proposals.
To be successful in this Senior Civil Engineer role you will ideally have:
·Proven experience in a similar civil engineering role, ideally within a multidisciplinary consultancy.
·Professional qualification as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or a clear pathway to achieve chartership.
·Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.) or equivalent.
·Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, especially Civil 3D; experience with Infodrainage is desirable.
·Solid experience in drainage design (foul and surface), minor roadway design and earthworks.
·Understanding of Building Regulations (Part H & M), British Standards and BIM processes.
·Experience of leading project teams and communicating complex technical solutions to varied audiences.
·NEC contract experience and a client-facing mindset.
