Senior Bridge Engineer
 
Key Responsibilities
·Design delivery. Prepare calculations, drawings and other documents
·Lead delivery of bridges of medium complexity
·Deliver multiple projects within budget and to program
 
Key Mandatory Requirements
·Be a technically excellent engineer, with established skills and delivery capability
·The ability to make decisions, act on your own initiative and operate in a pro-active way
 
Key Experience
·A good amount of bridge design experience including Composite bridge design and Steel bridge design
·Bridge inspections and assessment, including cast iron/jack arch, steel and masonry structures
·Bridge strengthening schemes
·Temporary Works within the bridge environment
·Good understanding of Construction Methodologies
·Familiar with NWR and/or HE approval processes
·Relevant UK and international standards including EC, NWR, DMRB   
 
Additional experience
·Evidence of Design and/or Design Check certificates sign off in previous projects
·Experience with complex structures including cable stay, balanced cantilever, launched bridges, high speed bridges
·Team leader experience
 
Software Competencies
·Midas preferable
·Other software
 
Qualification
·Chartered Engineer/Near Chartered with ICE or IStructE with MEng/BEng in Civil Engineering or similar
