They are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work on domestic, residential and commercial projects. This is all within buildings, ensuring the fitting of HVAC, Gas systems, plumbing and ventilation. This is an exciting project as you will not be channelled into one specific area but will be working on a wide range of projects including Social Housing, Office Refits, Education, Retail and many more. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for a small team of indirect reports and have an open career path opportunity.

the ideal candidate will be a chartered engineer, be able to operate independently and have experience in Design MEP consultancy projects within building services. You will be chartered with CIBSE and have worked in the construction industry for 5 years as a minimum.
 
This is a design engineering based role. Your responsibilities will be as follows:
 
·Carry out the projects requested by the Director
·Manage a range of staff to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
·Develop scope of works and deliverables for each project
·Work with a team and with subcontractors
·Liaise with the Design Team to produce quality concepts and detailed designs, to a high quality and standard
·Undertake site Surveys, work monitoring, snagging inspections and write reports
·Deliver projects in accordance to Company Quality Assurance requirements, industry standards and codes of practice, timeously and within fee budget constraints
·Be a leading contributor to Project, Design, Cost Review and Site meetings
·Deliver design quality assurance reviews and checks
·Prepare budget projection costs, tender return summaries, manpower time/cost expenditure etc. Analyse and comment upon contractor tender returns and variations
·Manage, analyse, comment upon and sign off Contractor tender returns and variations
 
Requirements:
 
·CIBSE accredited
·HNC, HND or Honours Degree course
·Be professionally registered as an IEng with the engineering council or prove you have the experience to become an IIncorporated Engineer
·Have a working knowledge of statutory legislation and standards
·Be a member of a construction industry related professional institution(s) or organisation(s)
·Worked within the Construction Industry for a minimum of 5 years, operating at a senior level
·Have good IT skills
·Have good design knowledge
·Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Hold Construction Skills Certification Scheme Health and Safety Accreditation or Passport to Safety, or equivalent.

·Base Salary                - Starting at £70,000.00 (salary progression also available dependant on performance and development)
