Role: Quantity Surveyor - Water Sector, Mechanical / Electrical background
Location: Watford
Rate: £250 - £270 per day - Ltd company or Umbrella
Duration: 6 Months +
Start Date: ASAP
 
Our client is a leading water sector contractor in the North West.  They are looking for Senior Quantity Surveyors with an M&E background who will work with them on water sector projects.
 
You will be joining a growing team with a large, secure order book including a five-year framework in the area.  They require An experienced QS to help set up and manage the contractual and commercial elements of this framework.  Working within a very strong engineering and construction division you will help with the development and management of the commercial framework allowing the engineering staff to deliver the projects.
 
The role will involve works valuing, payment applications, agreeing variations with suppliers and clients, agreeing final accounts etc.
 
You will have come from an Industrial / Engineering contractor background and will have a strong mechanical and electrical knowledge. Experience within the water industry is also very desirable.
 
What you'll need
·Relevant Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
·Chartered Surveyor and Member of RICS ideal
·ICheme red book and NEC contract experience
·Experience managing large-scale sub-contract packages
·Main Contracting experience
·Strong understanding of NEC forms of contract is essential
·Strong contract administration skills
·Strong communication skills
