Role - Quantity Surveyor - Utilities
Rate: £350 per day
Location: Oxfordshire
Duration 3 months +
Start date: ASAP
 
My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor with experience in the water or utilities sector.
 
You will be joining a growing team with a large, secure order book including a secure long term framework of projects in the area.  They require a QS to help manage the contractual and commercial elements of this framework.  Working within a very strong engineering and construction division you will help with the development and management of the commercial framework allowing the engineering staff to deliver the projects.
 
The role will involve works valuing, payment applications, agreeing variations with suppliers and clients, agreeing final accounts etc.
 
You will have come from an Industrial / Engineering contractor background and will have a strong Civils, mechanical and electrical knowledge. Experience within the water, Rail, Energy or Nuclear industry is also desirable.
 
What you'll need
·Relevant Qualifications in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
·Experience managing large-scale sub-contract packages
·Main Contracting experience
·Strong understanding of NEC forms of contract is essential
·Strong contract administration skills
·Strong communication skills
