Role: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Crawley, South East
Salary: Up to £40,000 dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
 
My client, who is one of the biggest engineering and utility services in the UK, is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
 
·Commercial Management of projects across all business sectors.
·Review of Contracts before signature.
·Setting up and managing Suppliers.
·Owning and updating Vision Terms & Conditions.
·Compiling Payment Applications for NEC3/4 Contracts.
·Managing NEC3/4 Change Control (EWNs and CEs).
·Setting up and managing supplier Frameworks.
·Completing RFQs and RFIs for bids.
·Reviewing commercial performance of projects and business units.
·Ensuring quotes and tenders reflect current thinking.
·Final Accounts.
·Resolving any commercial disputes with clients and suppliers.
·Review Payment Certificates against applications.
 
Skills/Experience:
Essential:
 
·Strong working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts.
·Strong working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts
·Able to manage change control under NEC3/4 principals.
·This can be a fast-paced environment that changes quickly, so candidates will need to be able to adapt to change and prioritising workloads.
·Able to multi-task.
·Adept at Microsoft Office applications.
·Strong communication skills with the confidence to brief work teams.
·Will have experience establishing and developing relationships with clients and suppliers.
·Right to Work in UK & English speaking.
 
Desirable:
 
·CSCS Card holder.
·Microsoft Project
·Experienced in compiling quotes and tenders
·Enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated with a strong confident personality
·RICS Qualified
·Advanced knowledge of Excel
