Are you a rail Quantity Surveyor with experience working on NEC contracts, particularly options E & C?
Have you worked on Network Rail frameworks?
Location: Sidcup, Kent (Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office per week)
Salary: £50,000 - £58,000 per annum DOE + car or car allowance of £6300
You will be joining the Rail Southern business unit, which delivers £30-£40m of work annually, with around 80% of this coming from Network Rail's CP7 framework, covering reactive, emergency, civils, and drainage works. The team also delivers lump sum projects for clients such as Southeastern Trains and Wandsworth Council.
This is a hands on, delivery focused role, ideal for a QS with a few years' experience who wants to be a strong pair of hands on a key Network Rail framework.
As a Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include:
·Preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets to support effective financial control from pre-construction to final account on Network Rail CP7 works and other rail projects
·Supporting the administration of NEC contracts (primarily cost-plus) and assisting with commercial negotiations where required
·Assisting with the identification and management of commercial and procurement risks to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
·Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor with commercial reporting and CVRs across reactive, emergency, and civils based rail projects
·Working closely with the project delivery team, Network Rail, and supply chain partners to ensure successful project outcomes
·Providing day-to-day support to a commercial administrator or apprentice where required
Quantity Surveyor requirements:
·Approximately 2-3 years' post-graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor
·Experience working in the rail sector (civils, track, or E&P considered)
·Familiarity with NEC contracts (ideally options E & C)
·Tier 1 contractor experience is preferred
