Quantity Surveyor
Highways
Dover/Folkestone
Up to £55,000 plus benefits
 
Due to a growing workload, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Client in the Southern Region. You will be involved in a highways scheme in Folkestone and Dover, where new infrastructure is being built
 
 
Key Responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include:
·Making sure all works meet safety, quality and environmental standards.
·Preparing contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and project documents.
·Measuring works on site and from drawings.
·Identifying risks and putting in place ways to control them.
·Cost analysis and providing evidence for dispute resolution.
·Feasibility studies for client requests.
·Preparing estimates and reviewing subcontractor quotations.
·Managing variations, valuations and final accounts.
·Issuing certificates for payments to subcontractors.
·Ensuring compliance with all company procedures and site standards.
 
Skills & Experience
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who is:
·Ambitious, confident, and a good communicator.
·Experienced in heavy civils projects and familiar with NEC contracts.
·Able to work flexibly, travel within the Southern Region and hold a full UK driving licence.
·Skilled in problem-solving, negotiation, numeracy and IT.
·Eligible to work in the UK.
