An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to come and join a busy client in the Tyne and Wear area. The role is an initial 12 month contract however the scheme is set to go on for over 4 years. The position has been deemed OUTSIDE IR35.

The main duties of the experienced Quantity Surveyor are:

• Ensure compliance with the works Scope and Information.
• Monitor and report on cost for the projects.
• Assess contractor quotations and valuations.
• Responsibility for the preparation and issuing of Payment Certificate
• Responsible for assessing and agreeing final accounts.
• Produce a monthly update report on project costs, expended, committed and any financial risks
• Provide dedicated professional services for the full duration of the contract.
• Form a full understanding of the works information and if requested, assist in establishing any further works information.
• Ensure that the costs are in accordance with the works information and that any changes are implemented with the prior consent of the Relevant Authority or appointed person.
• Provide written reports to the Relevant Authority throughout the project on project costs and estimated outturn costs.
• Issue communications as per the requirements of the NEC4 contract.
