Role: Pump Engineer
Location: Reading
Salary: £35,000-£38,000
Employment: Full time permanent
Working hours:  Monday - Friday 45 hours per week all additional hours worked are paid at X1.25
 
My Client are looking to expand their engineering team who service and repair pumps used primarily in  water treatment plants and pumping stations across clean and waste water.
 
In this role you will be attached to carrying out reactive breakdown and planned maintenance work flows on customer sites which can vary from water utility companies, manufacturing / industrial commercial settings.
 
Due to the nature of the role you will operate in a field based capacity and may be required to stay away ( full lodge provided) subject to client requirements or travel nationwide.
 
Repairs and servicing will consist of mechanical and electrical repairs and you will be responsible for
 
- Reactive breakdown repairs
- Proactive and planned maintenance
- Replacing parts
- Removal and re installation of new pumps / equipment
 
Suitable candidates will come from a engineering background and hold at least one formal engineering qualification such as:
 
Apprenticeship
ONC/ HNC/HND
16/17/18th Edition
City and Guilds ( any mechanical or electrical ) certification
Full UK drivers license
 
On offer is a salary of £35,000 - £38,000 depending on experience + overtime & call outs + bonus + benefits and company vehicle with a realistic on target earnings of £45,000 or above.
