Job description

I'm currently recruiting for a Public Real Business Manager on a 6 month contract.  As the Business Manager you will oversee and deliver all aspects of business management and delivery, maintaining a robust support network for senior and operational managers. Working pro actively with managers and staff to assess need and solve business related problems. To manage all aspects of customer contact with the division   
 
 
Responsibilities
·To be undertake customer surveys and make recommendations on service improvements to address under performance or continuous improvement, and work with stakeholders to ensure changes are implemented, effective and monitored
·To support senior managers in understanding customer experience via satisfaction surveys, mystery shopping and market research
·To work alongside the Performance and Quality Manager to ensure effective mapping of customer journeys and to form agreed actions to address shortfalls
·To coordinate divisional responses to all corporate governance matters including Forward Planning, Risk, Business Continuity and Business Impact Analysis
·Working with the Performance and Quality Manager to ensure targeted Service Plans are in place for each of the services that are accurate, monitored and updated
·To ensure the division maintains accurate records of compliance in regard to health and safety, including CDM regulations as applicable and that improvement actions are undertaken   
·To be responsible for the furtherance of equality issues at a divisional level, liaising with appropriate corporate leads and service managers to ensure the division is meeting the corporate equality objectives  
·To be responsible for coordinating positive news stories and liaising with appropriate colleagues to ensure their exposure outside of the council
·To managing all aspects of internal divisional communications including newsletters, intranet, staff briefings, surveys, Yammer and electronic noticeboards   
·To manage and monitor all aspects of customer contacts including enquires, complaints, Chief Executive/Members/Mayoral/MP correspondence, FOIs and SARs
·To support and maintain the administrative back office of any division-wide ICT applications
·To provide general business support services to managers within the division
·To manage a team as required to deliver the above functions
