About the Role:
My client are seeking a Proposals Engineer or Junior Proposals Engineer to join our team, specializing in estimating and proposals for MCCs, Switchboards, and Control Panels (LV). This role involves evaluating, prioritizing, and delivering high-quality, competitive proposals while collaborating closely with clients and our engineering teams. You'll be working with major UK water utility companies, providing cutting-edge technology solutions that ensure the sustainability of water treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities:
·Participate actively in the proposals process, collaborating closely with the sales and engineering teams.
·Review tender and enquiry documents to facilitate effective bid/no-bid decisions.
·Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather timely and accurate information for proposals.
·Prepare accurate and competitive proposal documents using standard templates.
·Ensure proposals are submitted on time for review and sign-off, adhering to authorization procedures.
·Ensure proposals are clear, unambiguous, and protect the company's commercial and contractual interests.
·Attend project kick-off meetings to hand over successful proposals to the project execution team.
·Conduct site visits as necessary to assess client requirements, ensuring all Health & Safety protocols are followed.
·Identify and communicate any significant commercial, technical, or contractual risks associated with proposals.
·Continuously improve the proposals process, using feedback from project execution and close-out meetings.
·Assist in developing quoting portals and costing tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the proposals process.
·Maintain and update the Project Portal with follow-ups, such as expected order dates and competitive positioning.

Skills & Knowledge Required:
·Strong technical knowledge of MCCs, Switchboards, Control Panels, and control systems.
·Proven experience in estimating project costs within the electrical/control panels sector.
·Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to clients and understand their needs.
·Ability to meet client deadlines and manage unpredictable workloads with imposed deadlines.
·Good understanding of contractual arrangements and best practices.
·Willingness to engage in annual performance reviews and participate in relevant training courses.
