Are you an experienced Project Planner? Do you have experience with Engineering and/or Structures?
 
Our client are a large Structural Engineering firm, working on several exciting projects across the UK. They are leading the way in Structural Design and are currently looking to grow a team working on a large Nuclear project.

As part of this growth they are looking for a Project Planner to work closely with the Operations Director to develop and manage programme plans on a rare and interesting Nuclear Energy Structural Project.
 
The ideal candidate will have P6 & MS Project experience and ideally have worked in the Nuclear industry or is able to gain UK Security Clearance.  You will be working to establish and deliver the programme plan & scheduling activities in partnership with the project controls team.
 
You will be responsible for managing the process of projects as well as the progress of the programmes & projects. You will be reporting the plan of the plan of performance to senior members of the team.

Role & responsibilities:
·Manage the control change as the project changes, using planning processes & updating any configuration documents.
·Develop, Manage & update programme costing plans & development od WBS's.
·Resource / cost & risk management.
·Understand tools such as DCMA14-point to enable an assessment of the project schedule performance & quality of schedule.
·Understand risk opportunities.
·Produce monthly reports & maintain a current understanding of the codes of practise.
·Understand the need for baseline control and different types of baseline change.
 
 
Requirements:
·HND or Degree in Management, Engineering, Construction, Project management or Quantity Surveying
·Project Management qualification such as APM, PMP or Prince2 (Desirable)
·Chartership
·Knowledge of Nuclear Industry (Desirable)
·Experience in Managing & Developing cos analysis reports
·Experience with design support on-site
·Experience in major projects (+£50m)
·Understanding of NEC contracts
·Planning software e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project
·Experience in assessing and analysing cost/plan performance
·Experience in high hazard industries (Nuclear, Oil & GAs, Energy, Rail, Aviation)
·Good written and Verbal English
·MS Office knowledge
