Project Manager - London
Due to my clients continuing success and ongoing expansion; the team in London are recruiting for a Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager who is keen to develop their career within the Infrastructure project management team.
This Consultancy help their clients transform the quality and sustainability of the built environment. We are enabled by great people who are inspired and proud of what they do and respected for who they are.
The successful Project Manager will be responsible for:
·Manage projects, programmes and portfolios from inception to close out:-
·Experience of working with NEC suite of contracts
·Establish lines of communication and reporting procedures with the client and within the design team
·Arrange feasibility studies, including site surveys, site investigation, site evaluation etc
·Manage finances from inception to completion, including cash flow forecasts, monitoring project expenditure, and recommendations of payments by client, as well as internal budget and resourcing
·Undertake contact administration, JCT, NEC
·Prepare regular reports to clients on all aspects of the project inspection, scheduling and acceptance of works required under the defects liability and maintenance provisions of the contract
To be considered for the Project Manager role, you should possess / evidence:
Qualifications:
·BSc/MSc in a relevant engineering / project management related subject
You will ideally have one or working toward one of the following qualifications:
·MRICS
·MCIOB
·APMP
·PRINCE2
Additional experience that would be beneficial includes:
·Demonstrable risk management experience
·Management of detailed design
·Stakeholder engagement experience
·Good understanding of different procurement approaches and contract strategies
You will need to be an excellent communicator who can articulate complicated issues between our clients and our highly skilled project teams.
You will also need to show ambition and a willingness to work flexibly, both in the office and on-site, whilst demonstrating commercial awareness and exhibiting the ability to lead teams.
Experience and skills required:
·Consultancy construction project management experience within the infrastructure sector
·The ability to lead a series of projects and manage client relationships
·Proficient in the use of MS Office and particularly MS Project and similar digital software
