Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of a National Highways dualling scheme in Somerset. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering or construction management, with proven expertise in managing large-scale infrastructure projects within the transportation sector.


Key Responsibilities:
·Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
·Coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, engineers, and local communities, to ensure effective communication and smooth project delivery.
·Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency and mitigate risks.
·Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and proactively identify and address any issues or deviations from the project plan.
·Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, health and safety protocols, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
·Prepare regular progress reports, presentations, and documentation for project stakeholders, providing updates on milestones, deliverables, and budgetary status.

Qualifications:
·Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
·Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably within the transportation or infrastructure sector.
·Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
·Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage multidisciplinary teams and foster collaborative working relationships.
·Sound understanding of relevant legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
