Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced Project manager to join their Fulfilment team in Surrey.
 
Key responsibilities for the job include:
 
Management and Planning:
 
·Verify that information leading to a project being handed over from the sales team to the project management team is of a suitable scope and quality to allow the project to be commenced.
·Formulate project plans and Gantt charts, using software tools to ensure that resources are available to complete all aspects of project delivery.
·Agree prioritisation of project delivery and development tasks, to ensure that projects and developments are completed in the most effective manner and escalate prioritisation decisions where required.
·Liaise with Approved suppliers, to ensure physical and virtual items are delivered in line with project and quality requirements.
·Liaise with other Project Managers and Field Operations Managers for alignment on resource availability.
·Work in association with colleagues including the Development Team, Product Managers and Test and Release Managers to ensure that bespoke products and systems are delivered in a timely manner and that meet the project specification.
·Compile site specific Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental documents in accordance with the Quality and Environmental Management System
·Be responsible for and monitor their own welfare to ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
·Compile and oversee verification and validation testing (e.g., UAT's, FATs and SATs)
·Ensure shipments and deployments are made in-line with project plans and financial forecasts.
·Resource projects and development tasks in accordance with the project plan and manage resources to supply system solutions.
·Provide regular progress reports to both the Head of Order Fulfilment
·Formally handover systems to customer support, agreeing actions to resolve any outstanding issues.
·Manage costs and deliver forecast Gross Margin

Administrative:
 
·Produce project documentation including functional/design specifications.
·Provide input to allow business case completion for products and development works in accordance with company processes.
·Create as built and user system documentation
·Issue and get approved System Handover certificate.
 
Customer Relationship:
 
·Build a strong working knowledge of equipment.
·Maintain a positive and professional image of the company when dealing with internal staff (both within the UK and overseas), customers and third parties.
·Generate positive momentum with customers.
·Build good working relationships by understanding the customer's project objectives.
·Resolve any disputes / issues to reach optimal outcomes.
