My Local Authority client in London, is seeking an experienced Town Planning Policy Specialist to work with them in their Planning Policy Team in an initial 5-month contract with the possibility to extend.
 
The London Borough is undergoing a period of substantial change and growth. With one of the highest housing targets in London and Opportunity Areas identified for transformational change in key areas.
 
This is an exceptional opportunity to influence change in a key part of London.
 
To meet the challenges my client faces, the council are preparing a new Local Plan and expanding their Planning Policy Team. They are looking for an experienced planning policy officer who is passionate about the built environment and eager to be involved in a range of policy areas.
 
The role will involve:
-shaping and commissioning the evidence underpinning the Local Plan's policies;
-preparing and appraising policy options;
-carrying out public consultations; and
-assessing development sites for allocation.
 
This role requires 2 office days per week.
 
£35-£40 umbrella based on experience.
