Principal Transport Planner

Oxfordshire

Full time - 37 hours per week

6-month contract (minimum)

£45-£50 per hour, Inside IR35
 

Are you an experienced Transport Planner looking for your next challenge?
 
Our client is an ambitious authority who are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join them on a contract basis, initially for 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:
 
·To provide transport planning professional and technical management and leadership in relation to supporting strategic sites, Local Plan reviews, developing transport strategy and schemes, commissioning studies, preparing business cases and securing funding for infrastructure, frontline Member, stakeholder and public engagement, report writing, service improvements, managing project budgets and the work of staff and consultants.
 
·Assist in the management of the team
 
·Represent at project and other working group meetings and at partnership meetings to ensure the opinions of the team and the Council are represented
 
·Lead the development, commissioning and implementation of transport planning projects and studies, including those conducted by external consultants, taking responsibility for their day-to-day management within complex programmes as required in accordance with the Council's Project Management guidelines
 
What is required?
 
·As the successful candidate, you will have transport planning experience
 
·You will have great stakeholder management skills.
