Carrington West are assisting their client in their search for a Principal Planning Officer on a permanent basis.
 
We have an exciting opportunity to join a Local Authority, the role is open to candidates from both the private and the public sectors.
 
You will need:
·A minimum of 4 years experience.
·Ability to work under pressure and often to tight deadlines.
·Deliver an effective and efficient development management service.
·Work as part of a team that provides advice and assesses all types of development proposals.
·Full UK driving license and willingness to travel in the UK.

The post holder will have their own casework including applications and appeals for some of the more complex development proposals and will directly manage other staff to meet the above objectives and responsibilities.
 
The company is offering a completely flexible working arrangement which can be discussed in the interview.  
 
Experience in a planning consultancy or local authority is a must. Please note that applications won't be considered without the criteria being met.
