Principal Planning Enforcement Officer
up to £55k per annum (Depending on location)

My client is looking for a permanent planning enforcement officer and are prepared to offer a flexible/remote working pattern.
 
The ideal candidate will need to be accountable for:
You will be accountable for:
·Handling a full range of planning enforcement investigations, including those of a complex nature.
·Lead and organise discussions relating to planning enforcement with developers, councillors, residents and internal and external partners as appropriate.
·Provide advice on planning enforcement matters to stakeholders
·Lead on special projects related to planning enforcement, including the organisation of the delivery of direct actions services by contractors, as directed by the planning enforcement manager or service director
·Represent clients at public meetings, including but not limited to committee, hearings, inquiries and Court. 
·Undertaking pre application discussions on minor and small-scale major applications, being proactive and problem solving to achieve deliverable outcomes in addition to preparing and presenting evidence on appeals.
·Lead on service improvements to achieve cost efficiency and effectiveness whilst project managing your work to ensure client KPI's are met/exceeded in terms of timeliness and quality of output, adding value wherever possible.
·Lead on the delivery and improvement of business management systems, procedures and processes.
·Providing support and guidance to peers and more junior staff to distribute knowledge and ensure contemporary planning issues and legislation are cascaded and understood.
·Encourage the growth of the team by making a positive contribution to business development, securing repeat work and applying a commercial lens to all work undertaken and behaviours. 
·Contribute positively to bids and proposals as required in a timely manner to support the wider team and help secure future opportunities within the growth team.
·Provide guidance and support for more junior members of the team.
·Any other duties commensurate to the role and grade, which may include planning related administrative tasks.
