My client is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their London Civil infrastructure team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative and ambitious group with a strong forward workload and an established track record of delivering a diverse portfolio of projects. As such they are looking to capitalise on their current position and expand the team with an individual who can manage the delivery and coordination of projects and design services.
 
Over the years, they have worked on some fantastic high-profile projects such as Lewisham Gateway, Elephant Park, Agar Grove Estate in Camden, South Thamesmead, Old Oak Common in West London, and Battersea Power Station. They also work on projects outside of London currently including the Isle of White, Jersey, Birmingham, Malta and Gozo.
 
Future pipelines are growing and the variety of services they are offering clients is ever increasing. They are looking for a well-rounded individual with good communication skills to aid their growth.
 
You will have the opportunity to join a close-knit team where you will lead and mentor some of the more junior engineers and technicians. You will take responsibility for leading the technical delivery and approval of projects as well as reviewing the work produced by the team.
 
Your role will be to play a key part of the engineering team in delivering high quality design projects on time and within budget. You will work closely with company clients to influence the development of infrastructure scheme's in the region. As they grow, you will have opportunities to progress and develop your own career further.
 
ABOUT YOU
 
Ideally you'll be MEng/BEng qualified and a Chartered Engineer. You will be focused of achieving coordinated solutions, a tactical thinker and effective at communicating with both internal and external parties (for example utility companies, drainage authorities, highway authorities).
 
Ideally, you will have expertise in highway and drainage infrastructure design to deliver multi-disciplinary projects for the entire lifecycle - from concept and planning through to detailed design and delivery. You will have a proven record of delivering projects closely with clients across technical disciplines and experience of mentoring and managing the workload of junior team members. Skills with Civils 3D, MicroDrainage and utility coordination are advantageous.
 
Your passion and experience of delivering quality infrastructure design solutions and managing of processes with regulators and local authorities is most crucial to your success in this role.
