The Opportunity:
Based in London, you'll work on a wide range of complex civil engineering projects across sectors such as residential, healthcare, education, commercial, justice, and public realm. You'll contribute from concept through to detailed design-helping to shape the technical direction of projects while leading and mentoring a talented internal team.
Collaboration is key: you'll work closely with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and clients, playing both a technical and strategic role through project planning, resource management, and support for business development and bids.

Key Responsibilities:
·Lead and deliver civil engineering designs for infrastructure and drainage projects of varying scale and complexity.
·Oversee project teams to ensure high-quality output and timely delivery.
·Mentor and support the professional development of team members.
·Manage client relationships and contribute to bids, presentations, and business growth.
·Produce and review technical reports, specifications, and engineering drawings.

What You'll Bring:
·A degree in Civil Engineering (or related field), ideally with chartered or near-chartered status.
·Strong technical background in infrastructure and drainage design.
·Proficiency in industry-standard software and digital design tools.
·Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead, collaborate, and influence.
·Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering consultancy-based engineering projects.

Desirable Skills & Experience:
·Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) status, or demonstrable progress toward it.
·Solid understanding of construction contracts and forms of appointment.
·Proven success in mentoring junior staff and delivering client-focused outcomes.
·Commitment to CPD and a proactive approach to continuous learning and innovation.

Why Join?
This is a rare opportunity to step into a strategic leadership role in London within a supportive and collaborative consultancy. The organisation is committed to developing its people, offering structured progression, mentoring, and flexible working options to help you thrive professionally and personally.

The Package:
·Competitive salary based on experience.
·26 days holiday plus bank holidays, with options to buy additional leave.
·Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
·Private healthcare, life assurance, and healthcare cash plan.
·Company pension scheme and paid professional memberships.
·Ongoing training, CPD support, and access to chartership pathways.
