Planning Consultant
Kent
£45/h OUTSIDE IR35

Due to an increase in workload this local authority is looking to bring in an experienced Planning Consultant that can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
You will be required to work both individually and as part of a team to continue the high level of service that the local authority operate to currently. You will be managing a mixed caseload of applications so must be comfortable with this variety.
 
To be successful in this position you MUST HAVE:
Candidate criteria:
·Degree in Planning/Planning Diploma/Professional qualification recognised by Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or degree not recognised by the RTPI together with a recognised post-graduate planning course.
·In depth knowledge of planning legislation and policy
·Ability to cover a backlog of more complex senior level planning applications and new applications.
·Significant experience of having worked at a similar level
·Experience of close working with communities and politicians to secure the best possible outcomes for the Council
·Good caseload management skills
·Ability to organise own workload to meet tight deadlines
·Good communication skills
·Calm and professional manner
·Ability to travel independently across the Borough
 
On offer is an hourly rate of up to £45p/h depending on experience and the role has been deemed outside IR35.
