Role: Operational Scheduler
Location: Derbyshire
Salary: Equivalent to £23,950 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, shift rota over 7 days
Engagement: Initial 6-month contract with the scope to secure a permanent position beyond this
Start Date: ASAP
 
My client, one of the best known companies in the area, are looking to expand their ever-growing Engineering team by adding an Operational Scheduler.
 
As an Operational Scheduler you will assist in the delivery of projects to ensure that both planned and reactive work is scheduled to meet business performance targets whilst keeping systems updated with work activities.
 
In this role you will work closely with external suppliers, field managers, operatives, the local planning authorities and clients in order to ensure that all field operations are delivered accurately within the agreed timescale, whilst complying with health and safety guidelines.
 
No experience in Operational Scheduling is required. My client will provide a full training plan to give successful candidates all the tools they'll need to succeed and progress in the role.
 
The role will involve:
·Prioritising and deploying scheduled and reactive work, complying with health and safety guidelines.
·Ensuring resource has the availability to complete the work.
·Escalating to relevant teams where high priority work is effected.
·Contacting both internal and external customers, to keep them informed and realign expectations and timescales.
Shift patterns can vary month to month, although you will receive plenty of notification of your upcoming shift pattern. The role works off of a 7 day shift rota, meaning weekend and bank holiday work is required.
 
The ideal candidate would have the following skills: 
·Well organised with excellent administration skills.
·Excellent IT skills across Microsoft applications and software.
·Good communication skills at all levels with both internal & external customers.  
·Ability to work within a team whilst owning your own workload. 
·Prioritisation and decision-making skills. 
·The drive and ambition to provide excellent service.
·Knowledge and experience using SAP and SWIMM systems (preferred).
 
This can be a fast-paced ever-changing environment, so candidates need to be able to adapt to change and prioritise workloads accordingly.
 
On offer is a salary on £23,950 per annum.
