My client is a large Utility company working in the East of England. They have a great reputation for customer service and completing contracts efficiently.
 
My client are currently looking to add to their meter reading team within the water sector, this is a 6 month fixed term contract, with potential if you prove yourself to extend or make it a permanent position.
 
You will be representing the local water company and responsible for reading planned meters, boundary box's and doing ad-hoc meter reads. You will need to manage a daly work schedule, use local route knowledge, Ensure all reactive meter exchange and meter maintenance jobs are reported efficiently and promptly, Liaise with customers over consumption queries identified on the hand held units.
 
This position is based in Boston, Lincolnshire and you need to be able to work 37 hours per week, standard working hours (Mon-Fri).
 
Responsibilities:
 
·Meter reading
·Flow tests
·Replacing box lids
·Inspections
·Confirm addresses are registered correctly
·Report and issues, faults or suspicious connections the water company
·Ensure new meter stock is in place
·Work with the water network technicians
·Use hand held reading devises
·Provide excellent customer services
 
 
Experience and Qualifications required:
·GCSE's in Maths & English
·Ability to priorities workload
·Good communication skills
·Full clean UK driving license
·Ability to work to deadlines
·Customer service experience (ideally NVQ in Customer Services)
·Ability to work to own schedule
·Technical skills and ability to read meters
