Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear Decommissioning - Bristol (With travel to South West)
Permanent - Salary negotiable + Benefits package
SC clearance checks will be required
We work across numerous plant areas, each with different technical challenges, but with a focus on nuclear-decommissioning projects. These projects include Waste Retrieval Projects, Waste Processing Projects, Asset Management Projects and Demolition Projects.
You'll be helping to support clients with the delivery of projects through all phases from design through to execution of work at site and commissioning of plant and equipment.
Skills/experience required:
You will have experience with Digital Engineering tools, or a willingness to learn. These tools include reality capture, digital twins, building information management, robotics, VR/AR, data science and machine learning.
On-site experience including construction or commissioning.
You can produce high-quality technical reports and. More senior applicants will be expected to check and approve technical reports authored by others
Honours Degree (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
Be able to identify project risks and to ensure mitigations are identified and in place.
Have skills in (or an interest in undertaking) leadership, development and mentoring of staff.
A Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership with the IMechE or another engineering institution.
Have a proven record of delivering technically challenging projects.
Whilst your office will be based in Bristol, it is likely you will be seconded to our client sites in the South West from time to time. There are opportunities further afield that could be discussed if that appeals to the candidate.
